New HCMCF Addition ... More Than Just A Building

Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility is pleased to announce the addition of Claudia's Glen. The cottage is a home like structure with 10 private bedrooms and bathrooms, a large open living room, dining room, spa and kitchen as well as lovely outdoor space. The goal of the cottage is to create a smaller, less institutional setting for long term residents.

The cottage is staffed with Hearthkeepers, a group of specially trained assistive personnel that provide personal care as well as cooking, cleaning and activities for the elders. The Hearthkeepers and the elders coexist much like a family, by getting to know each other and enjoying time together. The elders and their families assist the Hearthkeepers in making day to day decisions such as menu and activity choices. One elder's Chihuahua has come to make the cottage her home as well. Friends and family are always welcome at Claudia's Glen!
